This is a port, not a normal ROM: MYUI 4.1 from the Moto S30 Pro running on the MI 11X, POCO F3 and Redmi K40, which all share the same alioth hardware. You flash it in a custom recovery, and what you get is a genuinely different phone — Motorola's launcher, settings layout and whole software personality on Xiaomi hardware.

The video starts muted so it does not blast at you — tap the speaker to hear it, or open it on YouTube.

Ports are a different kind of flashing and you should know that before you download anything.

A port is somebody taking firmware built for one phone and making it run on another. The Moto S30 Pro and the MI 11X have hardware close enough that this works at all. When it boots, that is already the achievement. Everything after that is upside.

So why would anyone want a Motorola interface on a Xiaomi phone? Because it does not feel like a skin of MIUI. The launcher, the settings layout, the notification style, the whole personality of the software is different. If you have flashed five AOSP-based ROMs and they all feel familiar, this will not.

What it looks like

The first thing you notice is the launcher. It is not a Xiaomi launcher with different icons — the home screen behaviour, the app drawer, the gestures are Motorola's. Settings is rearranged too, so the first day you will be hunting for things that used to be in a familiar place.

That unfamiliarity is the point. If you wanted MIUI with a new wallpaper, you would flash a MIUI build.

What actually changes

What does not carry over

This is where expectations need managing. Not every Motorola feature makes the trip. Some of them depend on hardware the MI 11X and POCO F3 simply do not have — a specific sensor, a specific camera capability, a specific piece of Motorola internals.

So when you read a Moto feature list and think "great, I get that too", the honest answer is: sometimes. Test it yourself rather than assuming.

What you need

That last bullet is not a formality on a port. Reacting to an unexpected bug is easier when you already have the way back downloaded.

Step 1 — confirm the file is for your phone

The MI 11X, POCO F3 and Redmi K40 are the same hardware under different names, which is why one port serves all three. Your device is alioth. Anything else is the wrong file, and flashing it will not boot.

Step 2 — take a full backup in recovery

Boot into your custom recovery and back up before you wipe anything. On a port this is the step you will be glad about later, because the failures here are less predictable than on a mainline build.

Step 3 — wipe data, cache and Dalvik

A clean base. Do not try to flash a port over an existing system and hope it sorts itself out. Wipe data, cache and Dalvik, and let the port start from nothing.

Step 4 — flash the port zip

Flash the MYUI 4.1 port package and let it run to completion. Do not interrupt it and do not unplug anything.

Step 5 — format data if the build asks for it

Some ports need a data format rather than just a data wipe, because the encryption does not match what the new system expects. If the build instructions call for a format, do the format. Skipping it is a common reason a port boots to a black screen or a recovery loop.

Step 6 — first boot and setup

Reboot and give it time. Ports take longer on the first boot than a stock ROM, and a minute or two at the logo is not automatically a failure. Walk through setup and resist the urge to restore everything immediately.

Step 7 — test before you trust it

Before you rely on this as your daily phone, run through the basics. Calls, mobile data, Wi-Fi, the camera, Bluetooth, and the one or two apps you actually need to function. Finding out that the camera crashes is much better on day one than in the middle of something important.

Where people get stuck

One honest paragraph

This is not the ROM to install if you want stability and nothing to think about. It is the ROM to install if you are curious and you have made peace with the fact that ports surprise you.

The payoff is that it makes a familiar phone feel genuinely new. I have flashed a lot of builds on this hardware, and this one changes the feel of it more than a typical update does. That is worth something if you have grown bored.

Get the backup done first, keep the stock ROM nearby, and test the basics before you make it your daily driver. Do that and this is a fun evening, not a rescue job.

Full description from the video

A Motorola port running on a Xiaomi phone — MYUI 4.1 from the Moto S30 Pro, flashed on the MI 11X, POCO F3 and Redmi K40.

Ports are a different kind of flashing. Somebody takes a firmware from one phone and makes it run on another, and if it boots at all, that's already a win. This one brings MYUI 4.1 from the Moto S30 Pro over to alioth, which is the shared hardware behind the MI 11X, the POCO F3 and the Redmi K40. Why would you want a Motorola interface on a Xiaomi phone? Because it's genuinely different: the launcher, the settings layout, the whole personality of the software changes. In the video I flash it and then walk through what you actually end up with.

📱 Device : MI 11X / POCO F3 / Redmi K40 (alioth)

🧩 ROM : MYUI 4.1 (Moto S30 Pro port)

🛠️ What You Need

  • Unlocked bootloader on the alioth.
  • A custom recovery to flash the port zip.
  • The MYUI 4.1 port file built for alioth specifically.
  • A firmware base that matches what the port expects.
  • Backups, because ports are less predictable than mainline builds.

📝 Steps

  1. Download the port zip and check it's the alioth version.
  2. Boot to recovery and take a full backup.
  3. Wipe data, cache and Dalvik.
  4. Flash the port zip and let it complete.
  5. Format data if the build requires it.
  6. Reboot and give the first boot plenty of time.
  7. Go through setup and test the basics before you rely on it.

⚠️ Where People Get Stuck

  • Flashing a port built for a different phone and expecting it to boot.
  • Assuming every Motorola feature carries over. Some depend on hardware the Xiaomi doesn't have.
  • Not keeping a way back. With ports, you want the stock ROM on hand.

Common questions

Can I flash the Moto S30 Pro MYUI port on any Xiaomi phone?

No. This port is built for alioth, which is the shared hardware of the MI 11X, POCO F3 and Redmi K40. A port built for different hardware will not boot on your phone.

Does flashing this port wipe my data?

Yes. You wipe data, cache and Dalvik in recovery before flashing, and some builds also need a full data format. Everything on internal storage goes, so back it up first.

Why does the MYUI port not boot after flashing?

Most often the file was built for a different device, the firmware base did not match, or a required data format was skipped. Check the file is the alioth build and that the base matches.

Will every Motorola feature work on the Xiaomi hardware?

No. Some Motorola features depend on hardware the MI 11X and POCO F3 do not have, so they cannot carry over. Test the features you care about yourself before you rely on them.

How long does the first boot take on a ported ROM?

Longer than a stock ROM, because the system is settling on hardware it was not originally built for. Give it a couple of minutes at the logo before you assume it failed.
