REALME UI 16.0.7 on POCO X7 Pro Android 16 Official ROM Test
Part of POCO guides, HyperOS guides, 2026 guides.
REALME UI 16.0.7 is an Android 16 port running on the POCO X7 Pro, built by @OZ7WM. You get bold Realme icons and widgets, a working dialer with call recording, and a usable camera. Banking apps are the gamble, so install it with a backup and low expectations for those.
The video starts muted so it does not blast at you — tap the speaker to hear it, or open it on YouTube.
Putting another brand's interface on a POCO is always a fun experiment, and this one mostly delivered. REALME UI 16.0.7 is an official Android 16 build put together for the POCO X7 Pro, and I installed it with the PC tool, then went through the look, the features and the bugs worth knowing about.
If you would rather flash straight from the phone, there is a Termux route linked in the downloads section. Same ROM, different hands.
What it looks like
Unmistakably Realme. The icons are bold and rounded, the clock widgets are front and centre, and the whole thing has a look that does not try to be stock Android. Animations feel deliberate rather than fast, and the launcher has its own way of grouping things.
The bundled apps are the reason to bother. There is a Realme dialer with call recording built in, a file manager, and the widget set you would expect from Realme. If you have used a Realme phone before, you will know where everything is within a few minutes.
What was tested
- A clean install and the first boot behaviour.
- The look: icons, widgets, animations and the launcher.
- The camera and the bundled Realme apps.
- The phone dialer, call recording and the file manager.
- Google Play certification and basic integrity on my run.
- Stability over the first day of use.
What works
Calls work, and that includes call recording, which is the feature people usually ask about first. The camera is usable in normal light. The Realme apps that come bundled all opened and behaved like they should, and the file manager is genuinely nicer than what you get stock in a lot of ROMs. Google Play certification came through in my run, so the store and basic integrity were fine on this install.
What is broken
This is a port, so be careful with what you expect. Some apps behaved differently in my test, and integrity results vary app by app. That last part is normal for a ported ROM and not a sign that you did something wrong.
The realistic problem is banking and payment apps. Some of them look at the system in ways a port will not satisfy, and they may refuse to run no matter what you do. Do not move your phone over to this build expecting your bank app to work first time.
Who should install it
Install it if you like the Realme look and you want calls, a camera and a file manager that work, and you are happy to keep banking on another device or keep a stock backup ready. If your phone is your main tool for payments and work apps, this is not the ROM to move to permanently.
What you need
- An unlocked bootloader and fastboot access on the POCO X7 Pro.
- The REALME UI 16.0.7 package for Rodin, from the link in the downloads section.
- A PC with working ADB and fastboot, or the Termux route if you prefer.
- A full backup. A clean install wipes the phone.
- Over 60% battery, and patience for a slow first boot.
One honest paragraph
This is a port, and you should come in expecting a port. The look is genuinely pleasant, calls work, and the bundled apps do their jobs. But some apps behave differently from stock, and integrity results vary app by app, which is the bit that decides whether your payment app is happy. Back everything up before you start.
The free Rom Flasher tool is what I used for the install on Windows. It handles the driver check and the flash, and it is free. The link is in the downloads section.

📊 Verdict
REALME UI 16.0.7 is a fun change of pace on the POCO X7 Pro. If you like the Realme look, here it is running properly, with working calls and a usable camera. It isn't for everyone — some apps behaved differently in my test, and integrity results vary app by app, which is normal for a port. Come in with a full backup and low expectations for banking apps, and you'll enjoy it.
Common questions
Is REALME UI 16.0.7 stable on the POCO X7 Pro?
It ran stably enough over the first day of use, and calls and the camera worked. Treat it as a port, so expect the odd app to behave differently rather than a perfectly stock experience.
Will my banking apps work on this ROM?
Maybe not. Integrity results vary app by app, which is normal for a port. Some payment and banking apps may refuse to run, so keep a stock setup in mind if you depend on them.
Is the camera usable?
Yes, the camera works and the bundled Realme apps behave as you would expect. It is good enough for normal use, though it is a ported system rather than the original build for this phone.
Does installing this ROM wipe my phone?
Yes, treat it as a clean install and back up everything first. Copy your photos, files and messages off the device before you start.
Which app do I use to flash it?
I used the PC tool on Windows, and the free Rom Flasher tool handles the driver check for you. There is also a Termux flash file linked in the downloads section if you would rather do it straight from the phone.
Before you flash
- Back up everything you would miss — unlocking and flashing usually wipe the phone.
- Check the file is built for your exact model and region.
- Keep a PC and a working cable around so a bootloop can be recovered.
