HyperOS 3 Lite on Poco X7 Pro EEA Build, Flash & Features
Part of POCO guides, HyperOS guides, 2025 guides.
HyperOS 3 Lite on the POCO X7 Pro is an EEA build that replaces the POCO launcher
and icons with the Redmi HyperOS 3 set, adds real refresh rate and resolution
control, and keeps things light on top of Android 16. It looks and feels like a
different phone after a flash, with the usual trade-offs that come with modified
system apps.
The video starts muted so it does not blast at you — tap the speaker to hear it, or open it on YouTube.
The "Lite" tag gets used a lot and usually means very little. This one actually
does something. On the POCO X7 Pro (rodin) the EEA build swaps out the POCO
launcher and icon pack for the Redmi HyperOS 3 set, so the first boot genuinely
looks like a different device. If the POCO styling has never grown on you, that
alone is the reason to try it.
It sits on HyperOS 3.0.2.0-EEA on top of Android 16, and the credits go to
@Alonejust993. This is a modified build, not an official release, so treat it the
way you would treat anything that changes system apps.
What it looks like
Redmi launcher, Redmi icons, Redmi feel. The blur textures and animations have
been turned up, and that is the most obvious change after a flash. It reads as
more polished than stock, closer to how the higher tier devices are dressed up.
If you like a clean, plain interface, this might read as busy. If you have been
looking at the same POCO home screen for a year, it will read as a fresh phone.
What actually changed
- Launcher and icons. The POCO set is gone and the Redmi HyperOS 3 set is in
its place. This is the headline change.
- Refresh rate control. You can switch between 30, 60, 90 and 120 Hz instead
of accepting whatever the build decides for you.
- Resolution control. You can drop the display to 2400x1080 to stretch
battery when you need the extra hours.
- Heavier blur and advanced animations. Enabled by default rather than
hidden away.
- Package Installer V2. A different installer flow when you sideload.
- Core Patch. Signature verification is disabled. That is what makes the
other changes possible, and it is also the part that deserves your attention.
That display section is the standout for me. Being able to pick 90 Hz on a day
you want battery, then 120 Hz when you do not care, is exactly the kind of
control stock builds tend to bury or remove entirely.
What is broken or worth knowing
Nothing here is a clean, invisible modification. A few honest notes:
- Signature verification is off. Disabling signature checks is handy and it
is also exactly how a modified system app can be slipped in. Only install from
a source you actually trust, and be careful about what else gets installed
afterwards.
- The blur and animations cost battery. They look great. They are not free.
If you moved to this build hoping for longer screen time, expect the visuals to
eat into some of that.
- Modified system apps can break things quietly. Banking apps, payment apps
and anything leaning on integrity checks may behave differently than they did
on stock. Some will work fine, some will not.
- You need an unlocked bootloader and this is a full flash, so internal
storage goes. Back up first. That part is not optional.
Who should install it
Install this if you want a visual reset of the X7 Pro and you actually care about
display controls. The refresh rate and resolution switching is a real feature,
not a toggle in a settings list that does nothing.
Skip it if you depend on payment or banking apps working exactly as they do on
stock, or if you want the longest possible battery life and nothing else. A build
that turns extra effects on is not the build for that goal.
Getting it flashed
Because this is a modified build rather than an official fastboot ROM, expect to
go through recovery rather than Mi Flash Tool. That means an unlocked bootloader,
the right recovery for rodin, and a clean format before you install if you are
coming from stock. Read the install notes that come with the ROM and follow the
sequence exactly, then finish the setup wizard before restoring anything.
If the driver side is where you usually stall, the free Rom Flasher tool bundles
the ADB and fastboot driver install into a couple of clicks, and the adb and
fastboot files sit in the downloads alongside the ROM itself.

Full description from the video
HyperOS 3 Lite on the Poco X7 Pro — the EEA build that swaps the POCO skin for Redmi looks, unlocks refresh rates, and stays light on top of Android 16.
The "Lite" tag is the pitch: strip the heavy bits, keep the HyperOS feel. This one goes further than most by replacing the POCO launcher and icons with the Redmi HyperOS 3 set, so the phone looks like a different device after a flash.
The display options are the standout. Refresh rate switches between 30, 60, 90 and 120 Hz, and you can drop the resolution to 2400x1080 when you want to stretch battery. That kind of control is exactly what stock builds tend to bury.
It also turns on the heavier blur textures and advanced animations, adds Package Installer V2, and disables signature verification through Core Patch. Expect a more premium-looking UI, but also the usual trade-offs that come with modified system apps.

🔬 What Was Tested
- Redmi HyperOS 3 icons and launcher replacing the POCO set
- Refresh rate switching: 30 / 60 / 90 / 120 Hz
- Resolution switching to 2400x1080

- Package Installer V2 and the Core Patch signature change
📊 Verdict
- Looks nothing like stock POCO once you're through — in a good way.
- Real display controls, not decorative toggle options.
- Core Patch disabling signature checks is handy, but trust whoever you install from.
- The heavy blur and animations look great, though they do cost a little battery.
Common questions
Does HyperOS 3 Lite on the POCO X7 Pro wipe my data?
Yes. Moving to a modified build means a clean flash, and internal storage is
reset. Copy your photos and files off the phone before you start, and expect the
setup wizard on the first boot.
What is different between this build and stock HyperOS 3 on the X7 Pro?
The launcher and icons come from the Redmi HyperOS 3 set instead of POCO, and
you get refresh rate switching between 30, 60, 90 and 120 Hz plus a resolution
option at 2400x1080. Blur textures and advanced animations are enabled too.
Is it safe that signature verification is disabled?
It is a trade-off, not a guarantee. Core Patch turns signature checks off so
modified system apps can run, and that same hole means you should only install
from a source you trust and be careful about what you flash afterwards.
Will this build drain my battery faster?
The heavier blur and advanced animations do use more power, so you may see
less screen time than stock. The resolution drop to 2400x1080 and switching to
60 or 90 Hz are your levers to pull some of that back.
Can I go back to stock after flashing this?
Yes. The official POCO X7 Pro fastboot ROM restores stock, and it will wipe
the phone again. Keep that fastboot package saved so you are not hunting for it
while your phone is sitting in fastboot mode.
Before you flash
- Back up everything you would miss — unlocking and flashing usually wipe the phone.
- Check the file is built for your exact model and region.
- Keep a PC and a working cable around so a bootloop can be recovered.
