Questions people ask

What is tagged Channel here?

14 guides carry this tag. They are listed above newest first, with the date each one went live.

Which ROMs appear on this page?

Bootloop fix, HyperOS, RisingOS, Root, TWRP, crDroid.

Which phones and ROMs show up under Channel?

POCO X7 Pro, Bootloop fix, HyperOS, RisingOS, Root, TWRP, crDroid.

Will I lose my data?

Unlocking the bootloader and writing a full firmware image usually wipe the phone. Back up anything you would miss before you start, and keep a PC and a cable nearby in case a bootloop needs fixing.

Do I need a computer for this?

Not always. The free Rom Flasher tool runs on a second Android phone joined by a USB-OTG cable, and drives fastboot, recovery and sideloading from there. Some jobs — unlocking a bootloader, for example — still go through the manufacturer's own tool on a PC.
